Ever since the death of his father, Tanjirou has taken it upon himself to support his family. Although their lives may be hardened by tragedy, they've found happiness. But that ephemeral warmth is shattered one day when Tanjirou finds his family slaughtered and the lone survivor, his sister Nezuko, turned into a demon. To his surprise, however, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and thought...

Thus begins Tanjirou's quest to fight demons and turn his sister human again.

REVIEW:

Obviously this is pretty late but this is the most popular anime on my Facebook page so I decided to review this one first. Oh and by the way as I have said I’m still new to this reviewing stuff so I might mess up and update this post or the rating itself from time to time but no matter what I change in here no one can deny how awesome this anime is, well mostly that's for fans like me. Alrighty then let’s start!

The first time they announced that they will be making an anime adaptation of the hit manga series that I’m reading, I was ecstatic. I already know that this will be big but I didn’t expected this to be this popular. It literally became the sleeper hit not just for last year's spring season but for the whole year! Demon Slayer was one of the most liked, searched and watched anime of year 2019 and fans are still anxiously anticipating of the anime’s sequel, which is surprisingly in the form of the upcoming anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen) which will feature the manga's Demon Train Arc. Judging how many times I was asked by fans in the comment section about the second season or the details of the release of the movie you know that they’re itching for more.

Now for the rating ➡️ 

• Plot (40%): 9.5 points - You can say that it's a typical shounen plot of revenge and redemption but Tanjiro and co.'s journey was never a dull ride. From start till the last episode of the season it a whole lot of fun!

• Characters (30%): 9.8 points - This is one of the three things that I liked about this anime. The characters have their own charm, their own purpose and damn even the demons have (sad) back stories as well. This makes this series, somehow, relateble to some fans that at some point we feel vad even for the villains of the series. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Urokodaki, Giyu and the Hashiras, cosplaying main villain Muzain and all of the characters surely left their marks in our hearts.

• Animation (20%): 10 points - ufotable did a great great job with the animation. They made this dark fantasy, sometimes gory, a pleasure to watch.

• Music (10%): 9.8 points - For me, LiSA's "Gurenge" (Red Lotus) was the anime theme of 2019, that's how good this anime is in terms of the music used.
